I finally got my leo today after months of preparation. He seems to be in good health to me...Im just curious as to why he won't go inside his warm hide? He lays outside it, behind it...I saw him in it earlier...but when I went back he was out. Anyone know why? Is there anything I can do? Also, I had to buy crickets today, the mealworm order for the pet store didn't come in...Just wondering if ya can gutload them with oatmeal also? And potatoe's for water souce too?

Just let the gecko be, it knows what's best for it, and what it wants. As for that gutload, add some calcium, and that's good.

Maybe he/she thinks it's too hot in there for him/her... They'll move around the tank to wherever they are most comfortable at the time. It's probably fine. You might try moving things around for him every once in a while to see what he/she likes the most.
