Kolkata: A 45-year-old fisherwoman fought off a giant crocodile with bare hands after the reptile pulled her into a creek in the marshy Sundarbans forests in West Bengal.
According to a delayed report from Diamond Harbour in South 24 Parganas district, the woman, Binarani Mondal, has been admitted to a hospital.
The report quoted eyewitnesses as saying that the reptile grabbed one of her legs. It then dragged her about 100 feet into the water, where a fight for survival began.
