Snow? Q: about birth and transitional colors.

WaxWormFan Jun 02, 2003 09:57 PM

True, high quality snows... are they born black/white or black/yellow?

From one of my groups, I'm hatching mostly pastels. But I'm also hatching what appear to be normals at birth, and then a month later the yellow bands turn white. One was born with one band white instead of yellow and now the white is taking over the rest.

Is this just a common transitional stage or could I be on to something?

Thanks

Sounds like you may have something there. All of my snow babies so far have come out black and white with one having some light yellow. The one that come out with yellow is getting more "pastel" and a couple of the ones that came out b/w are getting more yellow each time they shed.

btw...the pic of the one that I posted earlier coming out of the egg that looked lavender and white, well it has started ot show yellow.
