Uh oh!! They're DOIN' IT!!!

Hey everyone.... Tell me if this is normal or not for leopard geckos:
Just tonight after I finished feeding my little guys I went and sat down for a while.. then decided to check them out again and they were having sex! I lifted up the big piece of bark and there they were moving to the music. So I snapped a shot with my camera and when I tried to put the bark back down he got off of her and started to lick his man parts. I am guessing that it is normal for him to clean himself like that. BUT, I am also guessing that it wan't good for me to disturb them? BUT EVEN MORE.... what the heck are they doing copulating at the start of December when the temperatures are lower??? I thought the season starts in Januaryish??? Anyways... I just thought it was kind of interesting.

Right on all counts, several people have posted over the past week that breeding season is off to an early start. Looks like you want to make sure she has a good place to lay with damp vermiculite, and time to pull the incubator out of storage ... or see about buying one. You'll want it set up a few days ahead of eggs being laid to get the temps right.
