...but take heart that I'm usually wrong about ID'ing females from photos anyway. Judging by the length of nose and the heavy band of the posterior collar, I'll guess a female C. bicinctores, but it is tough to distinguish one from an "ordinary" eastern collared female from *certain places*, for me at least LOL. Interesting reticulated pattern on the dorsal, but the prominant collars rule out the reticulatus or antiquus. Its Certainly NOT a Crotaphytus insularis, however. As Brock mentioned, the former classification for the C. bicinctores was Crotaphytus insularis bicinctores, and I've seen commercial sites advertise them as simply C. insularis, and also give them the common names of Mojave, Great Basin, Desert, and "black collared" collared lizards. You need to pour on the chow to that one, as she's very underweight.

i've understood everything except: "pour on the chow". what does it mean exactly? (i'm from poland ande there's very few keepers of those lizards so i'm asking for advice on this forum). i know that she's very skinny and i have to make her more fat.. but i don't know how to do it:/ aby ideas? she eats lot of crickets per day (5-7) but i don;t see any difference in her look :/

...figure of speech LOL. Sorry, we call food "chow" sometimes, at least we did back in West Texas. Yeah, she needs to put on some weight, feed her as much as she will eat, and make sure she has water available. If she does not seem to be filling out, you may wish to take her to a vet to check her for parasites, or at least have a stool examined. Many wild caught lizards carry a load of worms or other pests, and the stress of captivity runs them down enough for it to be a problem. Its very good that she is eating for you though!
