Isn't she GORGEOUS?? Tell me what you think!

snmreptiles Dec 12, 2003 01:25 PM

In a post a couple days ago Anthony Coponetto and I were discussing the market of cresteds when the topic of "NICE" cresteds came up! This is one of my females I bought as a "buckskin" female after seeing her mom (IRBA 2001)! She is still one of the nicest cresteds I have ever seen in person (Along with her mom). What do you guys think? No matter what she is still BY FAR the best $55 I ever spent!

Back to the market thing. It took 20 + years for morphs of leo's to start "popping up". I can only imagine it will take that long if not longer for crested morphs. I know a lot of you are thinking there are tons of crested morphs. I mean simple recessive/co-dominate types of morphs! Speaking of this, what do you guys think would be the coolest morph of crested? I'm thinking melanistic, or leucistic?

And to answer your question, I can't even begin to imagine what Cresteds will look like when genetic morphs start popping up.

I have a female that is black as night, usually she is a light buckskin, but every since I got another female with her, she has turned black, They get along great, their is no fighting and they even sleep together. They are in with one of my males and they all get along well, but for whatever reason she has turned black and has been that way for awhile now. I'll post a pic as soon as I get my digital cam back. You guys can then tell me what you think!!!
