I have two leopard frogs. One(or two), I'm not sure, of them is croaking at night. Does anyone know why?
Thanks in advance,
cyclone girl

It means that the croaking one is male and looking for a girlfriend.

Already mating? I thought they didn't mate until the spring!

Captivity can kinda throw off their "cycle" since we tend to keep them warm and comfy all year round. It doesn't always mean that they "will" mate, just that he is looking. The calling can also just mean that he's happy and healthy too.

Mine have been doing that, too. It sounds pretty cool. I think they're doing it because with the heat on, it is warm in my house, and maybe they think it's Springtime?
