Breeding question...

hognose15 Dec 12, 2003 03:03 PM

I have 2 adult females and an adult male. I have no question that he can do the job on both.

I also have 7 females that are 1 1/2 - 2 years from breeding. I have a young male as well. With only 2 males and 9 females, will the boys be able to handle the pressure and perform?

Can 2 males knock up 9 females?

Or should I get another male?

Thanks

Just imho. It is a better to have a ratio closer to 1 to 1. It is possible to breed a male to a few females, however this is a possible cause of so many slugs, some believe anyway. Good luck! And I would say try it, just dont expect your male to last very long as a breeder. Not trying to slam on you just stating my opinion.

Thanks
Bob
