GTP lying on cage floor.

I am a bit worried about my male biak chondro. He is about 10-12months.

For the past few nights, he has gone down to the floor, and Ive caught him there in the morning. Today, he was there for a good part of the day.

He has been doing everything else regularly, clean mouth, healthy attitude and feeding response, and a firm stool.

Is this necessarily a problem? If so, what could it be?

Thanks
Chris

I wouldn't worry to much if hes acting normal. The only thing i would check is the tempature. If its to hot Chondros will often go to the ground. Sometimes they just do it because they feel like it too. Just to drive us nuts! If the animals healthy and acting normal i wouldn't sweat it.

Thanks...

I have been monitoring the heat...also I think its possible my humidity was a bit low and he may have been searching being that hes going blue? I upped it, and he was on the perch all night, and is presently.

I have a male who stops eating and starts sleeping on the floor of the cage every winter. It seems to be a pre-breeding behavior. He has done this for years and I have never found any other reason for it.
