My Lep just layed two eggs!

lilaughingwolf Dec 13, 2003 02:09 AM

My leporad gek, Muka, just layed two eggs...she is not letting anyone near them and has even tried to bite me!, she has never showed any agresion to me befor ( I have had her for two years.) This is her first "clutch" should I just force her away from her "nest" and remove the eggs or leave them there? I don't want to upset her.

Hi

Just stay there and watch for a little while and she should walk away from them for a drink or something else and then you can take the eggs. If she doesn't move within a reasonable amount of time, because you need to get them into the incubator, then just talk to her first and then pick her up and move her to the other end of the tank while you remove the eggs.

Take Care, TLB
