Will mice stored in a vacuum sealed jar be OK? In the bags the plastic is sucked onto the mice - no air, no vacuum, just mice and plastic. In a jar, I was wondering if the vacuum would cause sublimation of frozen fluids or other problems?

I always vaccum seal my mice and never had a problem. I have a foodsaver though. What kind is yours?
Don't you think the jar idea is a bit expensive?

uhh... I think that is it.
any type of jar with a pop top can work. They are reusable, don't have to keep buying plastic bags. decided to try a small experiment and we'll see how they do in a few months.
Sublimation should not be an issue. The space around the rodents in a jar seems like air but it is still the same vacuum you would have in a plastic bag.
The real advantage of vacuum sealing is not stoping sublimation but the lack of oxygen which reduces oxidation.
