Baby Leo Help!! Not Growing!! PLEASE HELP!!

Breathingbywires Dec 13, 2003 11:42 AM

Ok the pet store near my house had a little baby leo, who was really sick.. so they gave it to a girl who worked there a couple months ago to help give it the attention it needed and possibly make her grow.

I talked to the girl today, and she asked me if I wanted this baby Leo, because she is still not growing and she doesn't know what to do any more.

Question is: What would cause this little baby leo not to be growing, or have a full appitite. I don't want to take on a leo that may not have a chance because I have tendancy to because right attached. What can I do to help this little leo along and grow.. ?? Please help!!!

It could have parasites, so get a fecal exam done by a qualified vet to rule that out first! Also, if it was housed improperly, like in crowded conditons or with other larger more dominant geckos, it may have been bullied or intimidated enough to make it stop eating. Make sure the warm side "belly heat" temperatures are around 88-90 degrees, because if kept too cool it can cause their metabolism and digestion to slow down. Good luck!
