I have a female BP who loves F/T Rats..She eats 2 a week. EVERYTIME I give her a rat she coils around it for maybe 10 seconds and then drags it across the cage and into her water bowl...ALWAYS has to eat in her water bowl...Anyone have a ball that does the same?

what are temps in cage....what are temps inside the f/t rat? maybe its too hot and needs cooling down? lol

Well, anyway, Ball pythons have differing personalities, sorta like people. Some like their burgers with mayo and some with ketchup. Maybe she's just partial to water or likes them wet.

She might still drag the food into the bowl to feed. Maybe she likes the secure feel of the sides of the bowl to push against as she works to get the prey down.
If you do drain the water at the next feeding time, report back on the results, okay?
