>>I lightened the picture up a little and that is either a nice normal or an Okeetee. Not a Miami. Or at least not a Miami in the normal description of a Miami.

when i bought it it was labeled a miami so i bought it and then after a few weeks it was getting clear that it wasnt so i guess its not after looking at pics of them. I swear the male that was the parent of it was a miami it was very silverish like in the photos i saw....can it be a small percentage het?

I haven't seen to many Miami hatchlings, but my Okeetee x Snow babies have pretty much the same coloring as that baby, only with thinner borders. I'd say who-ever sold it to you needs a good tongue lashing
It could be that he has some Miami herratige, but he shouldn't have been sold as a miami even if he's het...should have been "het-miami", and probably a few $ cheaper because of that. But....Miami and Okeetee are "normal" morphs, and I don't know which is dominant, or how well the two mix. I'd complain to who-ever you got it from if you can. He's a very pretty snake either way. Just not a miami.

we just didn't want you to have a missidentified snake.
My take on the subject is as follows...(and may be wrong so maybe the more experinced in Miamis could help out here)
Miami's are selectively bred to attain the look most associated with them. Red saddles with grey to light grey to almost white backgrounds. This is an enhancemnet to corns found locally to the Miami area. This is basically an enhanced "normal" morph.
So, in that sense it would be very hard to say your snake is "het" Miami even though the father was probably a Miami.
Unless there is some hideen trait the offspring would, for all intents and purposes, be normals. Now depending on the snake used to breed with this snake you could possibly produce snakes that look more like Miamis.
I think you were misslead in the representation of the morph.
BUT..Do not dispair.. your snake is a very nice looking snake and looks a lot like an okeetee.
I think you will be pleased as it matures.
