the age old shedding question

janome Dec 13, 2003 06:42 PM

I just helped my jungle carpet python shed. I saw her starting to shed. Her head was off so I took her out and helped her to shed the rest of the way. It was neat! Question is ... was that the right thing to do? Or should I have let her do it herself? I put water on her as I helped her and it came off easier. She also had a BM while I was helping her.

Although you should never force a shed, helping with one that is happening anyway does no harm. A BM just after a shed is common actually.
