new pet...

chimbakka Dec 13, 2003 08:32 PM

Today I took in another lizard. Orion is doing really well... I'm going to post this on the gecko forum too, but I thought I'd tell you guys as well.
It's a leopard gecko. He/she was at the pet store and doing very badly so they were going to give it away. then one of the girls who worked there took her in. my friend had wanted him and talked to the girl there and got her tonight. i went there with her and this guy/girl is SO small! she's about 2 inches total length and is a skeleton. you can even see her insides through her tummy. Her tail is dried up and bony. It has no meat at all on it... she still eats a few pinheads every once in a while. i've been feeding her what i gave orion after her surgery. I've also been putting that stuff on that i used on orion's dry patches. at least it works out having them both in icu at the same time. If any of you have any advice that would be great! Anything would help... even temps, humitiy, ideas for caring for sick lizards. I'm worried about her/him!

Lindsay,

Sounds like a leo we took in a few months back. Sad.

Sounds like you are doing good if you are giving ReptiAid. Did you get any advise from the gecko forum?? If he/she is that small, it may just not make it.
