benefits of venom?

I was wondering if their is anything that venom is good for, like medically or whatever. Just curious.

There are a wide variety of medications that use different snake venoms as part of their make-up. It's ben going on for years...Since Bill Haast started large scale venom extraction back in the Late forties/early fifties.
