Do you think that G.W.B. would even be in the white house today if is dad wasn't who he was? Why? Why not?

I'd say probably not. I don't think he would have even been in the spotlight to get the republican's nomination. He'd probably just be another successful businessman.

On the other hand, if he had made it to the primaries, I think he would have won. There are a lot of people that wouldn't vote for Gore under almost any circumstances. (I am one of them) I consider him to be far to militant as far as environmentalism is concerned.--The term wacko comes to mind!--I don't think many business/economy minded people would have voted for him either.

But then again, would Gore have been involved in politics if his dad wasn't who he was? (a politician) and if so, then who would Bush have been running against? I might have voted for Lieberman over Bush, but not Gore! Lieberman is the only democrat running for pres. that I respect.

>>He'd probably just be another successful businessman.

loll and what successful business would he be running? History shows nothing but FAILED businesses under his wing. Many Failed businesses. PLEASE NAME THEM!!

G.W.B. would be in jail right now. Don’t pretend

>>Don’t forget he was governor of Texas..

Yes he was governor of Texas. Glad you did your hard long research, not like his father being who he was didn’t help him acquire that spot.

A good one. Maybe because Al did not even win his own state. Perhaps they knew better?

was the Gov of Tx. Just thought I'd remind ya'll of that! GB's got my vote, AGAIN!!!

You know why he'll win again?
Democrats are carving up the vote, so not one denmocrat will have enough votes! If my memory serves me correctley, this thing has happened in the past with Democrats. GO REPUBLICANS!!!!

The BIG problem with the democrats is that they move so far to the left during the primaries (to try and distinguish themselves from all the other democrats running) that when the election comes, they can't move back towards the center without looking like liars and hypocrites. But that's just fine with me! I wouldn't want one of them in power anyway! Except maybe for Lieberman. He at least doesn't run far left "all of the sudden" like the others, and he at least seems honest and honorable. Unfortunately, I don't think he has a chance at winning the primary. The democratic party really is in a lot of trouble.

Their strategy: Change your positions to try and win the primary, then try to change back for the election without the voters noticing. It's not likely that will ever work!

what kills me is the smear campaigns leading up to the primaries. They are rubbing each others noses in the mud hoping that all is forgotten once they unite under one candidate. If I was a Dem. I would be appalled with the way the candidates are tearing each other new @sses on network television. Not being a Dem., of course I love it.
