My leo will not eat crickets. In fact, he wouldn't eat hardly anything at all. I was very worried when I read about how much food everyone else's leos ate and spent ages trying to tempt him with mealworms, locusts, brown crickets, black crickets, (small ones, medium ones, large ones) and wax worms. Of course, he would eat wax worms which are a no-no so I tried not to give him many - hard though when he wouldn't eat anything else at all most nights. However, his tail stayed fat in spite of his "diet" and I kept on trying to tempt him. Then I discovered silkworms and at last he eats every night. Only two, sometimes three, but at least he is regularly eating. It can be a great help reading how much other people feed their pets but it can also cause worries and doubts. The longer I have my reptiles and continue to read these helpful forums, the more I realise that each reptile is an individual with behaviours of their own and there is no definitive answer - just guidelines.
