A friend of mine crossed a white oak phase grey rat snake with a Texas rat snake the last two years. Here's one of the hybrids he produced. This isn't the best one that came from the breeding. He says some look like this, but the ground color turns a pink color. He says they can look like either parent or like a cross between the parents. Some have the pattern and color of the Texas rat snake, some the grey rat snake and some that look like a cross and have a pink ground color. Thje first time he did this, he let most of the babies go before he found out and realized they develop a pink ground color.
