They grow so fast.......also a question

Angus_8 Dec 14, 2003 02:24 PM

I just measured my 7 month old male today and hes 8.5 inches 55 grams. He was my first baby when I got him so it really suprised me how fast he was growing. His tail has started to get fatter, hes starting to thicken out. Hes close to being fully grown, hes now growing more in width than length.
It would be cool to breed em to my big 90 gram female but when i got her she was gravid, and I could tell she didnt enjoy it very much, besides, my parents wouldnt let me anyway.
Already I want more leos. My parents wont let me get anymore though, even if I pay for everything. Something about too many animals. I dont think 2 leos and 2 dogs is too many animals.
Anyway, whats everyones favorate simple reccessive morph? I like blizzards, I think they're the coolest looking of all the leo simple reccessive morphs.
What about selectively bred morphs? I like jungles and stripes, red stripes are sweet looking. Later/
Mac

and so forth, you can't have too many animals. You have too many when you cannot clean their enclosures everyday, cannot provide them the attention they need (referring to birds on that one really, say like a parrot, their mental health is just as important as physical)

I've had a few people call me a collector. So the same day that happened I called animal control, department of children and families (since I'm living with my parents) and another animal organization, they all came out and inspected my place and the animals, they gave me the "bill of approval" if you will. One lady from the SPCA actually told me to tell the people who called me a collector to shove it LOL. So that made me happy.
My "family" consists of the following:
3 Dogs
9 Cats
1 Timneh African Grey parrot
3 Cockatiels
2 Budgies
5 Zebra Finches
1 Savannah Monitor
6 Leopard Geckos
2 Tokay Geckos
1 Sunburst Baboon
3 Ball Pythons (two norm and one butterscotch ghost)
4 Burmese Pythons (2 Albino, 2 Green)
a 1.2 of Retics (2 het albinos and 1 norm)
1 Sulcatta Tortoise
1 Ferret
1 Rabbit
1 Betta

You have a baboon? That's different. Is it big?

My husband says I have too many critters, but Wow! you really have a zoo!

I would love to have the room to add to my zoo... Maybe someday. I too am an animal lover... There is this one commercial on TV for the Zoo Tycoon computer game that I crack up every time I see... It would definitly be me if it wouldn't cause a divorce!!!
