I've got a MONSTER in my closet !!!

Kitchi Dec 14, 2003 03:46 PM

I got this girl about three months ago with skin sagging on the sides but apparntly healthy. She was too thin for breeding. Nothing 10 or 15 rabbits couldn't cure. She is now ready. I do not know how big she is but the male in the lower cage is heavy bodied and around 8-9 ft and he is dwarfed by her. They are both genetic monsters. I am sure they both could be twice as big if they had plenty of space for exercise such that they could be fed more without getting health problems. Other than trying to pump the females weight up recently they had been fed sparingly for 2-3 years by the previous owener and that has continued with the male(which I have had for a over a year) and will continue for the female after breeding.

that female produced babies two years in a row, last breeding season, and the year before last. It takes a while to put all the weight back on an animal that size, she weighed seventy pounds before her litters. She sure has put on alot of weight, but, by looking at the pics she still doesnt have the girth like she had before she produced, which i think was way too thick anyway. The male on the other hand was fed sparingly because of his enormous size, i myself dont think there is any benefit to having huge males. They are looking good, i hope you produce from them this year. Bill
