Lowes veruses Home Depot !!!!!!

Thomas j Dec 14, 2003 03:52 PM

I recently built a rack for breeding rats. I used concrete mixing tubs to house the rats in. I got 3 from Lowes that is all i had planned to used. Now that the rack is built i have room for 1 more tub. So i decided to go to Home Depot and see if they had any.
Home Depot did have them. They were alot nicer than the ones at Lowes and cheaper. The tub was more study and had thicker plastic as well.I belive i paid $6.88 at lowes for 1 tub . At Home Depot I paid $3.87 so it was almost half the price. SORRY drgrim.

I agree that the ones (the material especially) from Home Depot are much better, but, does the one from HD have a hole (for hanging on wall from a nail) on one of the narrow ends and is this hole not accsesible to the Rats and make it a spot for them to chew on and OUT?

That is my only problem with the ones from HD.

How long have your rats been using the bins from Home Depot?

And they have not chewed at the hole AT ALL?
