i was thinking about getting the 260 gallon reptirarium for my beardies..i was just wondering if i cols lay it on its side and if it would work like that.??thanks

they are harder to heat than the glass or wood enclosures. We use them only outside or with the babies as with 75 watt on top of a 38 gallon and a 75 watt on the same side as the one on top, heat to a perfect 101-107F on the basking area, with a mid temp of 90-94F off the basking platform and a cooler end of 80F.
They go outside during the day so they get pleanty of UVB, but on rainy or too cold days, they have a UVB light.
I would think it would be very hard to get a good temp on the bigger ones
