I just picked up a shoebox rack for my leopards and put them in, one gecko to a shoebox. It just seems so cramped to me. Are they really happy in this small a space if they have it all to themselves, as I've been told?

If you're talking about actual shoebox Rubbermaid or Sterilite (around 4qt?), they're just too small for adult leos, IMO. I use the 11" X 16" boxes for my adults, one to a box and only use the shoeboxes for babies and juvies, but move them as soon as it starts looking cramped in there.

Thanks, Rob - I just measured my racks, and if I can find 11 by 16s of the same height as the shoeboxes (3 1/2), I can switch to 2 of the bigger boxes per rack hole rather than 3 shoeboxes. That should give them more breathing room. I'll go look after work today.
