In your opinion, is a creamsicle corn a hybrid or an interbreed?

munchkins Jun 03, 2003 06:36 AM

I was just wondering about this, I have heard both ways. And if you consider it an intergrade, would you post questions about it on the cornsnake page or the ratsnake page? And if you consider it a hybrid, the same questions apply.

Creamsicle are not the only corns with emoryi in them. Most people don't know it but a lot of the corns are not "pure", but so what, they are all so beautiful anyway!

I've always considered emoryi to be a corn snake. That's right, I said it. So there.

To me there so simular to corns i dont know why the big fuss, but there considered hybrids,i have never heard of anyone finding a creamsicle inegrade in the wild

Bluerosy Jun 05, 2003 03:56 PM

Well it might be a big deal in price if your talking "pure" amel emoryi still holding at $400 each this year.

crazyhorse Jun 07, 2003 07:38 AM

Whos talking price. I dont see $$$$ with snakes, its a hobby to me not a business...besides thats way to much to pay for an alino ,all hype

bluerosy Jun 07, 2003 01:56 PM

I was respondeing to your comment that "nobody has ever found a creamsicle intergrade in the wild".
If it is $40 or $400. it is still a price. It's what you can afford if you want one. The price is determined by its demand and avaliability. A pure amel emoryi will fetch a whole lot more than a common emoryiXcorn amel. Call it business if you wish but its whatever makes you happy and content.

I'd call them crosses. Integrade somewhat indicates a natural population while cross has been widely used for captive pairings.
