Sartori.......question about one of your pics

tomsey Dec 14, 2003 09:16 PM

Dan,
In the photo at the below link, I was wondering how you made the rails for the pans to slide on. I'm going to be building more racks soon and I'm looking for an easier way to build the rails than what I did previously.
Did you run a piece of wood across a router or is it two pieces nailed/glued together? Or even better, you were able to purchase them already like that??!!!!

Thanks.

thats my version 2 levels...

i used a router to route a grove for the tubs to slide on, it was very time consuming but it worked very well.

version 3 levels are based on the same idea as my rat rack.

I used 1/2" copper pipe as 'spacers' for the tub slides to screw to to space it properly for the tubs. I could snap a few pics if you'd like?

but you should be able to get the basic idea.

the copper pipe is set cut to be about 1/16" of an inch longer than the width of the tub slide.. if that makes sense..

hope this helps
