Hey! I live in KY! But much of my time is spent in western KY and northwestwest TN herping. Most of my research too. There is a KY herp society. But one is needed for TN. I was just wondering if there was enough interest out there to attempt to create one for TN with a website & forum and all. What do you think?

Columbia TN here. As to your Q...there are several TN herpers who visit these forums, but due to the restrictive laws here, you don't see us much on the field collecting forum. We have discussed the possibility of a TN herp society, ...(there used to be one in Clarksville) .....but the usual suspects keep coming up.....TIME & MONEY. I know that myself and others would be very interested in discussing this further...if you're interested. Email me at crazy@wolf-web.com with any thoughts or suggestions. ECO

Hey Guys! Yes, I know Columbia is southcentral TN. Do you know anyone at APSU? I know several herpers down that way....GOOD times no doubt. I understand about TN F&G law enforcement and other Nazi FEDS (former TVA's - now NP's LBL gorillas in Stewart CO.) groups attempting to impose their domain on honest people who are not collecting, but just studying in the field. It has gotten insane in Florida. But there at least, I can understand. We should not be dealing with the same problematic issues in KY & TN. As far as a field herping forum goes, there is nothing illegal about posting pics, and contributing positive conversation regarding herping conditions and such....Just have to keep a low profile about anything else. Trust me, I DO understand. If we can get enough folks intersested in such a website that would be educational as well as entertaining, then I think it a worthy go. Hit me back. I will e-mail several of the TN herpers including you guys during the next weeks, and hopefully we can get some ideas together. Rock ON!
