Clipping beardie toe nail?

hey

i was wondering how to clip my beardies toe nails? or should i clip them at all? his nails look really long and are starting to curve under... i think it may hurt him...wat should i use to cut them and how long should they be?

You can use a regular nail clipper, but only take off the point or where it curves into the point. Don't go to low down or it will bleed. They have veins in the fat part of the nail so clip after that just the tips. If you do go to low and it bleeds just dip it in flour to coagulate the bleeding

We use regular nail clippers and just clip a very tiny piece right at the tip just to get the sharp points off. Think of it like clipping a dogs nails, have to be careful not to get into the quick because it will bleed as well as hurt.

I would have some styptic powder (sold under the name of Quick Stop) on hand just in case you cut too much, they can bleed quite a bit. Human fingernail clippers work very well for cutting their nails.
