Will it happen again?????

SerpentGuy Dec 14, 2003 10:15 PM

It has been 3 days since my boas have last bred. The male shows interest from time to time but his main interest is crawling everywhere trying too look for another female. He does that after he trys to court with her. What are the chances of the female giving in and letting him breed with her again? Anything i should do different? The females cloaca does look partial opened but not sure. Will one copulation be good enough to guarantee her being gravid?

The pic of my snakes under UPDATE a few posts down has my snakes breeding.

thx for everybodys help ~ron

P.S----Sorry for all these questions. I am just extremely excited about this and I don't want anything too happen except baby snakes being born. I've have tried to breed this pair before and they finally did it!
I've talked to other breeders and they said that its up to the female if they want to breed.

Ron,
. I have had them breed one time and produce babies. I have also had them breed nearly continually for weeks and also had a female bred a few times and then not breed again until several weeks later. One time is often okay but IMO the more they breed the better the chance of getting a litter and getting more babies in the litter.
