really fat pixie frog

jensinger Dec 15, 2003 12:21 AM

I have a pixie frog who is starting to get rolls over her arms and legs. I'm worried about bacterial infections starting in the folds and her developing red leg or something. Should I clean in these folds every once in a while? Thanks in advance!

I posted my message about her folds after I cleaned out her dish and replaced it with fresh water. I was about to shower and decided to check on her and turn off her light, only to find she just made a fresh poop log in her water! She moved away from it and that's when I discovered very tiny little worms moving in the water. They're only about a couple millimeters long and are squirming about in the water. What are these? And what should I do? Is my frog's health at risk??? Any responses are greatly appreciated...

Could be intestinal parasites of some sort. I would take the frog to the vet and get a fecal exam done. Andy
