Okeetee baby asking price?

sartori Dec 15, 2003 04:50 AM

I recently recieved 1.2 Okeetee corns in trade for some feeders. They are this years babies and have been feeding great for me, however i just purchased a Pastel Jungle ball python and have decided to focus on the ball pythons mostly.

My question is.. what would i want to even ask for 1.2 Okeetee babies??? $25 each? $20 each? *shrug* Im probably gonna be forced to sell locally, as i really want nothing to do with shipping..

im more into the ball pythons, and they are pretty easy to price.. i really have no idea on the corns

any help would be appreciated..

dan

If you are planning to sell locally, then let us know where you are. There does seem to be some geographic price variation, and perhaps one of the "locals" can give you a better idea. You seem to be in a decent ballpark range, however. At least from what I have seen here in Ohio. Duffy

I would pay $20-$30 for an okeetee/normal if it is an average looking cornsnake with no verifiable background (meaning genetic heterozygous background not known & no pics of the parents, since parents determine ultimately how it will look as an adult (ie. lateral stripping, white flecks around the blotches). BUT if you are selling to a first time snake buyer, they would not look for such flaws in a true okeetee. Keep in mind, this is all just my opinion. People pay $1000's of dollars for ball pythons that I would never pay more than a few $100 for. LOL.

Good Luck!

Where I live they sell for about $25-30, but if they look especially nice you may even be able to find a buyer willing to pay $50 each.
