using sugar water to cure prolapse.....

hey i've heard something about using sugar water to cure prolapse in tree frogs, first of all how do you go about doing this (such as how much sugar and all that fun stuff)

are you referring to the Whites you posted about on the 11th? Has the frog had a prolapse all of this time?

yea, there are no vets around my area taht i have been able to find, he seems to be doing ok, but i'd really like some help with this...

There are two different methods that you can try.

One is to use saline (eye wash), apply the saline to a Q-Tip and dab it on the prolapse. You may have to repeat this several times, apx 30 minutes apart.

The other method is to use a mixture of sugar water, mixed into a paste. Again apply it with a Q-Tip. Repeat up to 3 times, at 30 minute intervals.

Becareful, to only dab the saline or the sugar water directly on the prolapse, as a frog's skin will absorb either solution directly. Hopefully either of these solutions will reduce the prolapse and it will retract on it's own.
