I feel really stupid. Yesterday I fed her and she ate quite a bit. Enough for her size anyway. All she would do was sleep all day, but when I took her out she was fairly active. Well, today I went to feed her and I took out the can of food I was using. I smelled it to check if it was good still, and it had turned rancid. I don't think i checked it last night.... I went to feed her water and some pinheads instead, and she died in my hand. I feel terrible!!! She probably would have died anyway.. but she was fighting so hard, and I killed her with bad meat. She was alert last night, and I can't beleive that she was ready to die just yet... I feel terrible Poor thing. I can't beleive that I would do something so STUPID!!!

From what you wrote earlier, sounds like she was in really bad shape to begin with. Only so much we can do.
Take comfort in knowing that you did your best. Sometimes our best efforts just aren't enough, don't beat yourself up over it. So sorry she died.

THanks. I feel horrible. I can't beleive I gave her bad food.. that's not something I would do, i"m so careful. I've been crying for about a half hour. But... i have to remember that she probably would not have made it anyway.

Lindsay you did not kill her, you tried to help her because I couldn't do it.. you and I both knew her chances were slim to none but you tried anyways.. you did just fine in trying to help her, look at Orion for god sakes!! *hugs*
