Hi Russ, sorry I can't give you better answers now. I used to always get good measurements of him when I took him outside, when he stretched out basking. I have a hard time now because there isn't enough room for him straiten out completely in the tub or in the basking area in his cage. However I was able to get a snout to vent length of what looks to be about 19" if I measured it right. The last time I measured his total length was outside a month or more ago at about 4' 4". I don't think he's grown much more and I haven't been feeding him much because he's already as big as I'd want him to be. I'm surprised I say that but it's mainly because I have to carry him around sometimes. It was right around 4' that it seemed to become an issue and with my female at 3 1/2' it isn't. I used to always want a water monitor but not anymore lol. I think tegus are the perfect size for a larger lizard well if you want to carry him outside, to the tub, or put him in the car etc... If I find my fishing scale or get him to sit still in the middle of the living room floor I'll make sure to post about it.
