I love them... I have two juvy's. I've only had them a little over a month now.. But they are great. Still a bit skittish, but they are starting to warm up to me. You can't imagine how much they grow in just a few weeks and their color changes a little everytime they shed. I like to watch them. They both have their own personalities. (Just wish I could figure out what sex they are, but they are still just a little too small)

They are fairly easy to take care of also... In comparison to some of my other critters.

Just read some posts- most people on this forum treat their leos like babies. They aren't cuddly little pets, but fascinating creatures- each has it's own personality and habits. We love our leos...

When i started looking into geckos, I found that a lot of them couldn't be handled much. Others, like Day Geckos, supposedly have delicate skin and aren't supposed to be handled much. Leos, however, seem to enjoy the handling. They'll crawl all over you and onto your hands, and don't mind being picked up (after they get used to you and grow up a bit).

Leos are also very common and relatively inexpensive. Because of this, there are many differen colour patterns available.

They don't need UV light at all (almost all other geckos do) and UV lights are expensive. Leos live off a simple diet of crickets and/or mealworms, and only poop in one spot in their cage. Lay down a piece of paper towel there and they're litter trained.

So they're just easy. And quite friendly once they get used to you and realize you're not trying to eat them.

One they are big enough, they can be handled (many seem to enjoy it). You can take them out and let the crawl around.

They are impossibly cute. They smile when they take naps. They get all excited when they are about to strike crickets, and wiggle their tails. They get this curious look in their eyes when you take them out to explore or put them in a new enclosure, and go looking around. They are easy to take acre of, once you get the set-up right. They have individual personailities. And I think they have some intelligence. They remind me of cats.

I've never taken care of any kind of reptile,or any small animal at all for that matter (I'm a horse person) so I was nervous about getting one. But I've had my Sobee for about two months now and I love him tons. After a while they become very friendly, and they're no hassel at all to worry about, you don't need a fogger or running water or anything difficult like that. Leos are just amazing little creatures all together. good luck!
