I found a tiny little bug in my tank today. There is no way it could've got in there. The only thing it could be is an escaped mealworm that turned into a beetle. But i dont know what they look like?

It takes a couple of weeks for a mealworm to turn into a beetle.
They start out as a worm, but eventually morph into a pupae. They look like little white aliens. The pupae are almost like a cocoon. They're a little shorter than the worms, and won't move at all (unless you touch them, then they'll wiggle).

A couple weeks after that, they'll turn into beetles. The beetles will be white when they emerge from the pupae, and will eventually turn brown, then black.

if it's white... and just wriggles around when you poke it... it's a mealworm that pupated. within 10-15 days of pupating, it'll turn into a beetle...

kinda looks like a white alien right?

i found 3 of those under the paper towels last night, along with 4 mealworms stupid things
