little precaution about getting my gecko in the holdiday spirit (please read)

gsir8 Dec 15, 2003 05:28 PM

This is sort of a dumb question, but I like to take precautions. I want to get my leo into the holdiday spirit by putting a little christmas tree in his cage (branch of a pine tree). My question is: is the pine dangerous to my leo's health?

Hi

I wouldn't take the chance of doing that, you don't know what kind of parasites might be on that branch or in it, also it might have some sticky tree sap on it.

Take Care, TLB

You can get a little fake one at wal-mart... I think they are supposed to be ornaments or something.. Really cheap though.. Just a thought..-Jon

i bet you could just put a tiny portion of a plastic one in without problems (just wash it first). or maybe a plastic ornament (without edges) instead.
