Does anyone use a dry mixture to gutload their feeder roaches?
Is it a homemade recipe? or one of the commercial gutloads?
Thanks

I have used uncoloured pond pellets for a while with no problems. I use these as a staple diet with fruit and veg put in once a week. I think as long as you give the roaches a mixed diet, you cant go wrong.
I use fruits, veggies, dog/cat food. I figure why pay someone for powder that i really don't know what's in it.. Heck it could be sawdust for all i know lol..
I buy a 50 pound bag of chicken mash (NON medicated kind). I use a grinder to grind it into a powder almost and this is the main diet which I feed to them daily. I add a small amount of tropical fish flakes to each feeding as well. I also feed a high quality dry dog and/or cat food a few times a week. Plus veggies, fruits and greens daily.

I mix my own food for them and provide fresh veges every other day. I grind up dog food, fish food (whatever is on hand), wheat germ, baby cereal, spirilina, bee pollen, and a few other items into the mix.
