Cages By Design

devilish1182 Dec 15, 2003 06:54 PM

I was wondering if anyone has purchased plans for how to build a cage from cages by design. If so did you find that the cage was easy to build and the plans were thorough with what to get? what size did you build and how long did it take to build? I'm thinking about just purchasing plans for a cage and attempt to build it just wanted to know if it is worth it. I want to build two cages a 12ft long one for my 10ft burmese and another 12 ft long one for my pair of redtails. I think I remember reading somewhere that too much space could be bad for a smaller boa, like they would be insecure or something, my boas are 3 and 4 foot right now should i wait awhile before putting them in a cage that big or would it benefit them giving them more room to roam around and excersize.
Thanks
Katy

I'm really intrested in what people think about cagesbydesign.com too, but I have a ball python and I'm not going to buy a cage bigger than three or four feet long.

These animals live in the wild. Too much space is hardly the issue. Just give them enough.

Suggested space(MIN):

2/3L X 1/3W X 1/3H (X2) for an 8ft snakes would total: 10X5X5 seems perfect, remember they don't take long to grow into adulthood.
