strange color change with dragon

lanietx Dec 15, 2003 09:26 PM

i am not really sure how to explain...

my "aproximately one year" old bearded dragon (female) has suddenly had a change of color in the spikes of her beard.

her color until a couple of days ago was the "normal" brown with some orange. now..... a patch of her beard spikes are white, but.... only one one side! this evening, i noticed only 2 spikes on the other side were turning white.

i suppose this could be the signs of a shed coming on, but it is unlike anything i have ever seen on her.
otherwise, she seems healthy. she is eating well.

hopefully i am just being a worrisome mom

Yep....as they mature, they do that spotty shedding thing....not to worry, perfectly normal.
