greg woodie Dec 16, 2003 02:11 AM

i was wondering...has anyone here ever used clorox cleaning wipes to clean their cages? i'm a little leery about using bleach and water and i understand the wipes are bleach free. would they be safe or not?

thanks!

I've never used them, but if I were you I'd look at the active ingredients. If there's phenols or anything like that in it, then definitely don't use it.

Don't know, but I just use hot soapy water to clean, rinse follow with Nolvasan (Virosan) to disinfect. It's totally harmless to snakes. Vets use it to treat them.

I use the wipes on the linoleum on the bottom of my iguanas cage, but I've never used them with my snakes. I agree with the last post. I always use the Nolvasan to disinfect. This stuff will kill bacteria & viruses that REAL CLOROX won't touch. It cost more than bleach, but is worth every dime.
