Not sure what is happening here, but this is a het clown female that is losing all her yellow, and is velvet in look and feel. If anyone has an idea what is going on here, I would appreciate any info. This girl is from the VPI line if this helps.

Greg, it is a type of IMG plus a het to boot! It seems a majority of IMG's don't start out that way. I have a baby I picked up from AAA advertised as a "pink wash". She was actually ping along her sides as a neonate. She shed and turned "normal". I paid $25 for her. (it cost me more to ship her to me). Now she is turning a charcoal grey. Should be interesting to see what she looks like as she matures. You may be on your way to a brand new color variant! I think he it is an awesome looking animal. Good luck, Bill
I bought 3 females that have this pink wask on the sides. I was wondering if it was anything, or just normals.
When I first saw the posting my first question was, is it a premee. Coloration is the last thing to develop. When he told me it was the same size as the others I knew it was something else. It was up for bid and my bid was $250 plus shipping. Over the weekend it shed and he called me up and said it looked normal now! He said if you still want her you can have her for $25! I said ship her. She is in shed now and I can see a charcoal gray cming in that is going half way up her "aliens", just as the pink was before. I can't wait until she sheds to see what the outcome will be. I think its a form of "IMG". Its what I'm working with now so I'll just keep her and breed her into the project when she is ready. She is only a little over 500 grams now and is going through this color change.
PINK WASH
As they say in the fosters commercial "Keeper!".

Another pic of her with another normal looking het clown female.
I have a female who looks the same only a little darker and no white. I bought her as an adult so I do not know what she looked like as a baby. She has the same velvety feeling and almost a ghost looking appearance. I have no idea what to think.

I just took an updated pic of this girl. The other pic was from about 2 months ago. She just keeps getting darker.

Thanks Greg.
Ted
I'm still learning, but it seems I've seen a zillion w/c adult bp's like that at shows for $20. Maybe I'm missing something in the pattern. Could you let me know what I'm missing?
Thanks,
Steve
