Wow that turned into quite a debate LOL...Let me try and answer all the questions concerns that were already not taken care of by the other helpful members here!

The substrate they are on is calcium sand, I believe the brand is Bone-Aid??? I was under the impression that this was a good substrate, am I wrong? (I need to do a total cleaning soon and will be changing all the substrate out anyways, so if it is bad, let me know!!

As for their diet, I have spoke with many beardie breeders, many from this site, and the general consensus is that Baby beardies can be raised crix free, IF done properly...I only feed them small amounts of mealworms, just as basically a little "treat" each day, each baby recieves no more than 3...

The salad blend that I feed them is not iceburg lettuce as this contains basically zero nutrients...I feed Romaine and Riddichio blend, I think it works well for them, they seem to like it...from time to time, they also recieve carrots and even an apple every now and then but they only really "pick" on the apple, I just throw it in there to switch things up a bit.

I too agree that the pellets contain enough protein for them to be healthy. My adults never see crix, only pellets, fruits and veggies, and fuzzies once a week as a treat.

As for the pinkies, I'm mostly a snake guy so I understand that pinkies aren't really a good "staple" diet for lizards as they contain very little bone structure, which means they lack calcium, and also they are mostly fat. My beardies will only be given pinkies once a week as a treat when they are big enough, when i feed my snakes...When they are adults, they will be given one fuzzie a week when I feed my snakes, they are only treats though.

Feel free to debate anything I said, or anything for that matter lol...I'll join in this time

Here's another pic of them..

P.S. This was my first time breeding bearded dragons and out of 19 eggs, I only got 5 babies, one of which who was born premature and later died. So out of 19 eggs, six of which were "slugs" 4 babies lived, 1 died and 8 eggs went bad while incubating...

I'm not really sure why this happened, I bought the female gravid and she laid like 2 days after i got her home, i think she might have been partially egg bound as she was not provided with a place to lay...

Again thanks for the compliments!!! And please don't be too hard on me, this was my first breeding attempt!
