Missing patch of scales on the belly of.....

Dirt Dec 16, 2003 02:15 PM

just got these little guys in the mail. They have good body weight and are moving around ok. I havent tried feeding yet. Wanted them to get settled. Ok one of the snakes is missing a half inch strip of belly scales, theIr hanging there. Know the wound has healed over and it looks like the scales are halfway alive. Should I attmpt to remove the scale strip. The wound about a inch and a half from the base of the head. i dont know if this will interfere w feeding. Can there skin handle this.....Im pretty pissed about receiving damaged goods. Its obvious the wound has been there. dont think its from a snare because these guys are tiny (10-12 inches) there are supposedly CB but who knows. How should i treat this wound or better yet should i get a fricken refund> i dont mind if an animal isnt perfect just be forthright about ....tell me!!! You couldnt have missed this unless it happened in route but i seriously doubt. Otherwise the have huge amounts of white on there little maroon bodies and they seem curios also have black very pointed tails so they dont appear to be arus. That wound will make a ugly scare as an adult. ANY ADVISE OR HELP IN THIS MATTER WOULD BE TRULY APRREICIATED THANKS
