V. dumerili info

eidos505 Dec 16, 2003 03:43 PM

Does anyone know of any good care sheets about V. dumerili? Only monitor care sheet I could find doesn't include this species. Or, if anyone particularly just likes to talk about them and wouldn't mind sparing the time, could some one tell me their care requirements? And also how long do they usually grow up to? And what colour are the adults?
Not getting one any time soon (not for at least another 3 years, probably even longer) but would really like to learn more about them, and there doesn't seem to be that much info on the net.

Hi Eidios,

Check out the March 2004 issue of Reptiles Magazine - I have an article on V. dumerilii in there, that I co-[jr.-]authored with a friend of mine, Ben Aller who has bred them several times with a few generations there-of...

A Wonderful species!
Good Luck!
