Ok I have decided not to get the 622 for my 3 foot burm becuase someone suggested baby burms need a smaller cage to feel secure, so i decided to change my order at the last minute and got a 422 vision which is 4'x2.5' i think, this should last her a year. With that said, I have a few questions about a thermostat and i would greatly appreciate any help.
1. I'm going to use a cobra heat pad on the right 1/2 of the cage, and also on the right side of the cage im using a 75 watt bulb, leaving the left 1/2 with no heat source. Will that suffice?
2. I think im going to get the big apple thermostat, how do I get the probe thing inside the cage? Will I have to drill a hole in my brand new vision?
3. Once i get the probe in, where should i locate it in the cage?
4. How would the probe be able to detect the heat coming from the heat pad if the pad is under the tank and it only heats up the surface and not the air? Should i just leave the heat pad on at all times?
Thanks for all your help, I'm REALLY looking forward to getting my burm in this new cage with all the new stuff im getting for her.
