Moving Back to East Coast.....

Ciliatus_guy Jun 03, 2003 10:53 AM

Hello all,
Ive been living in California for the past 3 years but circumstances are forcing me to move back east. I am looking to see if there is anyone who keeps Rhacs in the northeastern Pennsylvania area. Its always nice to find someone who lives near you that shares the same interests.

Hey Mike,
Yeah, it's definitely been a while. Probably been a little too long, sorry....haha. I'm doing great, and I hope the same for you. I haven't actually had much time, been working on a few new interesting projects, and school always slows everything down. Plus with the conversion of this forum into a "Crested Forum" I haven't had much to say. But, I can see everyone's been keeping you busy, kingsnake should give you an honorary title for virtually running this forum, maybe "King Crested Mike", or "Mike the Omnipotent of the Rhac Forum."

I actually just finished building a new enclosure that's 5'tall by 4'wide by 3'deep for a pair of monitors. It's either going to be black trees (v. beccarii) or yellows (v. melinus)...but I'm having trouble finding one, and trouble dishing out the money for the other, haha.

So, how are you doing?
I hope all is well...

Ian

Hehe, yeah I spend a little more time on this forum then I should. Thank god teachers get prep periods…lol. All is doing well on my side. Cresteds are good, auircs are huge as ever, and the leachie is growing like a weed. Thinned the leopard gecko collection down a bit, but got plans for a few new things . I used to know a guy back when I helped run Varanet who was successful breeding black and green trees. I think he might even be working with the yellows and a few other species. His name is Mike Stefani (sp?), check out the varanid forum and see if you can find him. The guy builds cages out of one piece shower stalls. Big branches zig zagging inside and the bottom was a huge water basin to keep humidity high. Worked like a charm for him. Maybe he has some available that you can pick up, because what you see at the shows are usually always wild caught. If you need any info on varanids let me know I have a lot of sources and textbooks. They where my first love before geckos, once I get more room I hope to start up with them again. Anyway keep in touch Ian, my e-mail is right up above . I wish you the best of luck on your monitor search
-Mike

Hey, I'm from Lynbrook, in the Valley Stream area, I lived right off Sunset Highway, if you know where that is. Everywhere I go I always run into someone from Long Island...o well.

Good Luck
Ian
