One of the top U.S.wholesalers is located in the Miami area (if they haven't been closed down for any violations in recent years) but I just can't think of the name at the moment. Sometimes they let private individuals tour their shop, but no gurantee. Do a web search for Miami yellow page classifieds and check under pet or reptile wholesalers. Many other dealers buy from them, as they do (or did) a lot of the original importing.
One of the best in south Florida is Glades Herp in Ft. Myers, but I'm sure if it’s within 100 miles of Miami or not.
Has anyone ever been to glades? I went a few years ago,its an old 7-11. They keep most of their animals very clean but I couldn't help but to notice all of the floating dead mud turtles in a 125 gallon tank outside the front of the store. The spotted cage was very clean so were the snakes. It is worth a trip.
P.S.
This is not a bashing on glades ,the mud turtles were the only thing I thought was bad. Every thing else was in good shape.Compaired to some of the other large dealers that is nothing.
