Hi

Lately one of my turtles who is about 6 months has been baking with it's eyes shut. Also if I look sort of indside of it's shell it looks like it is breathing heavy. I have recently bought them a uv light and I wonder if this might be the problem. I know that it could be a respatory problem and if it is what is a simple way to help stop the problem.

Thanks Mike

Is he swimming lopsided, bubbles coming from his nose? If not I would say he is just sleeping while basking my RES does it all the time. I have only caught him one time sleeping in the water. I know he does at night but I have never been able to sneak up on him. Take care Shannon
